TCS Scarless Double Eyelid

At TCS, we practice a new ’scarless’ technique of creating very natural looking double eyelid with little downtime. The surgery last less than an hour and there is minimal post operative swelling.

We are proud to be certified and personally trained under the wings of Dr. Akihiro Minami, the inventor of the famous Double Suture and Twisted (DST) Technique for scarless double eyelid creation, in Japan.

Traditional incisional surgery

Previously, only incisional surgery could produce lasting results. However, this technique involves slicing and removal of the upper eyelid skin with subsequent need for removal of stitches and noticeable swelling of the upper eyelid. There is an also a potential noticeable long scar on the eyelid when they are closed. However if there is an excess of skin or muscle or eyelid skin drooping, incisional surgery does have its place for an effective correction.

Existing non-incisional procedure: Older non-incisional procedures may not produce lasting results and patients may have to repeat the procedures after a short time. This is especially true of older suturing (”stitching”) techniques which are prone to thread breakage and resulting in loss of eyelid line.

TCS Scarless Eyelid Technique Treatment (SET)

The inventor of our innovative scarless technique has performed 1108 0f such procedures during the past 10 years. The results demonstrate no case of loss of double-eyelid line after follow-up periods ranging form 1 month to 7 years, with a mean follow-up time of 32 months. This technique embraces all the benefits of non-incisional procedure and yet produces the longer lasting results of previous traditional incisional surgery.
